British Basketball Union | Official Site | News : Achara Gears Up For First Game In Glasgow

After signing with the Glasgow Rocks earlier this week, Standard Life GB player, Kieron Achara is preparing for his first game with the side this weekend.

The deal with the Rocks is a month by month contract and Achara is set to play in the team's first game of the season at the new Emirates Arena on Sunday.

Achara had been playing in Spain with ACB League side, Manresa last season and starred for GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games this summer where he top scored for his country in their only Olympic win against China.

The first chance to see Achara and his new team-mates in action at the Emirates Arena will be at 5pm on Sunday 7 October when the Glasgow Rocks take on the Newcastle Eagles.
