A 40 point haul from Jeremy Bell (pictured) was the stand-out performance of the contest which saw the home side lead from tip-to-buzzer, and coach Gavin Love was a happy man after the game: "It was very important to get that first win under our belts and give us confidence going in to next week's game.

The quartet of unbeaten sides is completed by Surrey Heat who used a strong third period to win 81-69 against the Sharks on Sunday afternoon. Heat broke open a tied game with a stunning 18 point run. Chavis Holmes was the star-man for the Heat with 21 points for the Heat to lead all scorers, while Daye was the top scorer for the Sharks with 16 points in the defeat.
BBL new-boys Manchester Giants recovered from a 15 point second quarter deficit to win 99-87 against One Health Sharks Sheffield on Friday evening. James Jones had 27 points and six assists as he continued his blistering start to the campaign. David Watts added 20 points and seven rebounds. Gage Daye led all scorers with 30 points in vain for the Sharks.
It was a different story next day as Worcester Wolves inflicted Giants' first defeat with a 92-80 victory after a dominant and decisive first half. Alex Owumi led all scorers with 25 points for the Wolves, backed up by 15 from Stanley Ocitti and 13 from Arnas Kazlauskas.
